Eels vs Bulldogs

My first Rugby game! I joined 74, 549 other fans to watch the eels defeat the bulldogs on Friday night. The game was not only incredible because it was against rivals, it was also a match to determine who would go on to the finals this Sunday. Apparently the "Aussie" way to watch a game is to eat a meat pie covered in tomato sauce (they don't call it ketchup) along with a beer. Of course I had to fit in! You all know me pretty well so I'm sure you can figure out what I thought of the meat pie. However, I did it all in good spirit and had so much fun. I could not believe how much excitement was in that stadium and really felt like I was apart of history! This whole week people have been getting pumped up for the game this Sunday in the same way you would for the Superbowl.

On Saturday I went to a market in a great area called Paddington. Clare and I attempted unsuccessfully to get Wicked tickets again and are hopeful we will get them soon. We have been putting our name in for the lottery to get front row seats for $30. The problem is other people know about this great opportunity. So instead we went to Fox Studios and got dinner.

This weekend we are heading to New Zealand so I will have some great pictures to show when I get back! Miss you all but I am doing great and loving the city.
