Sadly, I come with no pictures to show you. Only the news that Clare has officially flown home to Liverpool for Christmas leaving me all alone at the apartment. We celebrated Christmas on Friday night by going to my favorite Mexican restaurant in Glebe and then enjoyed a drink at the Shangri-La Hotel which has the best views of the city. 36 floors up, this bar/restaurant is very lush and expensive. One drink was $22! However, it is known to have the best views and it really does.
On Saturday I drove, I"ll say it again... I drove to the airport and dropped Clare off. I am now driving in Sydney and I really enjoy it:) Its so fun to drive through the city and challenge yourself to learn something new. I spent the rest of the afternoon at the beach and then went to church for the Christmas Spectacular. When I stop and think just how much Hillsong puts on, its unreal. This production could have been on Broadway and people would pay big bucks to see this. But its free and just held at church. I think there has to be something in the water for everyone to have such great voices.
Sunday was my last official service at church and my favorite pastor, Robert Ferguson, spoke on Joy. What a great way to end my time here. I did a lot of errands and shopping that afternoon and then drove back to church that night to see the Spec again.
I had planned to travel to a northern beach today but its overcast so I decided to stay home. I will be volunteering like usual this week, beginning to pack my things and soak up the beach as much as I can! It's sad to think that my time here is almost over and I am not looking forward to coming home in the middle of winter. I really didn't think this one through....
Hope everyone reading this has been spending a lot of time on what gift they will give me this year:) JK!
