I've arrived!

I've done it! I am in Sydney sitting in my new home for the next 4 months. Loving it? Yes. Is it beautiful here.. yes! Scared? OH YES! lol. I left on Thursday at 6pm and arrived on Saturday morning at 6:30. My roommate, Clare, picked me up and she has been so wonderful. I made a point to stay awake all day on Saturday in hopes that my body would adjust quicker. I think it will because of that. So, after I had settled into my room she took me around the city, went and sat at a park and then had dinner at a really cute place. We went to Hillsong last night for church and it was awesome! The worship was so great and something that I will love while I'm here (Alli, please don't be too jealous).

Today we are going to head to the beach and then I am going to give myself some time to navigate the bus/train systems a bit. We will head to church again tonight and it will be my first time to get myself to a location.... please pray!

I will write more I promise and will keep you updated with pictures and blogs. I'm not a professional writer, so no critiquing!

I miss you all and thank you for the support that you all have given. There is no way I would have ever ever been able to do this without all your prayers and love. Thank you!

These are a few pictures from my first experiences in the city. Enjoy:)

We almost didn't leave because they couldn't find the phillangie. They did though and we didn't leave too late from Columbus.

  1. Hey Jess!
So great to hear that you are in Sydney! How awesome :) Hope you really enjoy your time.

Your comment about not finding a phillange, cracked me up! So glad you got out of there with all of them fixed and on board!
